Booking Conditions and Charges

Book by phone on 01458 442846 during the opening hours. (Please do not leave ticket requests on our answering machine).

Book in person during the opening hours or by post at the Box Office, Strode Theatre, Strode College, Church Road, STREET, Somerset BA16 0AB.

You can request to receive your tickets in the following ways: 

  • print at home
  • postal delivery (£1.50 charge)
  • pick up from Box Office. If you are booking on-line or over the phone and you choose to pick up from box office, your tickets will only be available to pick ON THE DAY of the show or event you have booked. If you wish to have your tickets in advance, you must select to have your tickets delivered to your home or to print your tickets at home.

There is a postage charge of £1.50 on all bookings where tickets are posted from the box office, unless you enclose a SAE (stamped self-addressed envelope).

If you opt to hold your tickets at Box Office, these will be available to pick up on the day of the event, show or screening ONLY. If you wish to have your tickets in advance, you can opt to print at home OR to have the tickets delivered to your home, for a £1.50 postal fee.

We accept the following payment cards: Visa (credit or debit) and MasterCard

A cancellation charge of £3 (Live) or £1.50 (Film) per ticket is deducted from any refund to you for all re-sales of returned tickets on a sold-out show or film. The cancellation charge will also apply to any tickets we may agree to exchange in exceptional circumstances. Film, Live Broadcast and some live shows include a £1.30 commission (booking fee). In the event of a cancellation, this part of the ticket value is strictly non-refundable.

Returned Tickets

Strode Theatre conforms to standard theatre practice and is unable to exchange or give refunds on paid-for tickets. Tickets may be left at the Box Office for resale in the event of a sell-out at a charge of £3 (Live) or £1.50 (Film) per ticket and any refund will be credited to you Strode Theatre account. Film, Live Broadcast and some live shows include a £1.30 commission (booking fee). In the event of the re-sale of a returned ticket, this part of the ticket value is strictly non-refundable.

Concessions

Concessions (unless specified otherwise in the event entry) apply to people aged sixty or over, children (16 & under), students in full-time education and people in receipt of state benefits. Please be prepared to provide proof of concession.

Data Protection & Privacy Policy

We take the privacy of data you share with us about you very seriously and do not share any of it with third parties which are not a necessary part of our business operations. We will ask you if you wish to join our mailing list when booking for the first time, and you can change your contact preferences at any time. Children and babies

Babes in arms up to 18 months old can only be admitted for family shows. Please enquire for more information.

Film Categories

U – Universal. Suitable for viewing by all ages over the age of 4.
PG – Parental Guidance. Some scenes may be unsuitable for younger or more sensitive viewers – parental discretion is advised.
12a – Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
15 – No one under the age of 15 is permitted to view the film
18 – No one under the age of 18 is permitted to view the film

Please note that these restrictions are legal requirements and that we may ask for proof of age. Acceptable ID must have a photograph and date of birth. Forms of ID that we accept are:

  • Passport
  • Drivers licence (photo card)
  • Validate UK card (available for those under 18)
  • Citizen Card

If suitable proof of age cannot be provided you may be denied entry to the film. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us but please be aware that under no circumstances will staff give permission for viewing without acceptable ID.
