Our Programme

We promote an exciting and varied programme, both on our stage and on our screen. Catering to a wide range of tastes and all ages, we show productions in the following categories:

Live on stage

We provide a wide range of live events from professional speakers and touring companies to local amateur dramatics and dance shows. If Live Music is your passion we have an exciting programme that includes rock, folk and popular music shows, plus regular classical concerts by the Mid Somerset Orchestra.

Live on screen

With the evolution of film to digital projection we have been able to expand our content to include live transmissions via satellite – tastes of a night out in the City. Previous broadcasts have included:

  • Opera from The Glyndebourne Festival and The Royal Opera House
  • Theatre productions from The Globe and The National Theatre
  • Ballet from The Royal Opera House.

Film

We show films that appeal to all age ranges and tastes including mainstream, arthouse, world cinema and documentaries. Information on film classification can be found on the BBFC website. If bringing a young adult to a 15 or 18 who looks under 21 it is recommended that you bring photo identification (must include a photo and date of birth / or see terms and conditions for acceptable forms of identification) as proof of age. We reserve the right to refuse entry if we are not satisfied as to proof of age.

Exhibitions

With an abundance of natural light and plenty of space our foyer is the perfect area to display local and regional talent. We regularly change our featured artist or artists and you are invited to come in and view them anytime at no charge.
