Access

Entrance

• Strode Theatre has a level entrance with both an automatic door and 2 main doors.

Parking

• We have one designated parking space for people with disabilities and seven regular parking spaces can be found directly opposite the Theatre’s main entrance. During certain times in the afternoons during term time, they may be blocked by buses, which have priority. This does not affect evening and weekend performances. We regret that these parking spaces cannot be booked in advance as they are shared with both the College and School.

Theatre

• The Theatre stalls can be entered via the front of the auditorium step free. There is no lift access to the balcony area in the main house

 Studio

• The Studio can be accessed via stairs or a lift opposite the box office.

Wheelchair spaces 

• The Theatre has a maximum of 3 wheelchair spaces (back of the stalls) and the Studio has a maximum of 2 wheelchair spaces (front row). Each wheelchair space has one companion seat next to it. We regret that wheelchair spaces cannot be booked online, so please contact the box office during opening hours either in person or on the telephone.

Toilet Access

• There are both male and female toilets situated in our bar area outside the auditorium on the ground floor.  The Theatre has male and female toilets on the stairs up to the balcony.
• The studio has 3 toilets on the balcony.
• There is a Disabled toilet both in the bar area (with a baby changing mat) and outside the Studio on the balcony.

Hearing Loop

• The Theatre has an induction loop for all films and live events, which can be used by switching your hearing aid to the “T” position. The full benefit of this facility can be enjoyed between rows D and W. Infra red headsets are available for film screenings. These have independently adjustable volume for each earphone and can be selected to play the soundtrack (including dialogue) or audio description (where available). Please ask at the box office for further details.
