This evening of music is the launch night for the The Josh Atkinson Trio, withe the superb The Shalaings also performing on the same bill!
The Josh Atkinson Trio blends Indie Folk and Jazz. Josh’s voice, guitar and original songs are joined by Daniel Shaw on Double Bass/Mandolin and Richard Jenkins on Keys/Violin.
With influences ranging from Bon Iver to Ben Howard, Josh Atkinson is a Bristol-based singer-songwriter from the UK. He combines his love of production, acoustic sounds and lyric writing to produce powerful songs backed up by his unique goosebump-inducing vocals.
The Shalaings are a Duo of double vocals and guitars.
A popular act based in Central Somerset, they are launching their first Vinyl release, “Love Conquers All”, this evening.
Alice Laing’s uniquely powerful and soulful voice is joined by the multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Daniel Shaw. Together, they provide an exciting blend of vocal harmonies and guitar textures.
This promises to be a beautiful evening of music in the Strode studio, thankfully has full air con in the these summer days….all for a very affordable £12 a ticket!
