MC Promotions brings yet another great night of 60s and 70s chart-topper originals to Strode Theatre.

The Fortunes first came to prominence and international acclaim in 1965, when You’ve Got Your Troubles broke into the US and UK Top 10s. Afterwards, they had a succession of hits including Here It Comes Again and Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again continuing into the 1970s with more global successful releases such as Storm in a Teacup and Freedom Come, Freedom Go. Other European hits such as Seasons in the Sun and Same Old Feeling followed, culminating in a hit album in 1987 which sold 100,000
copies world wide.

After five decades, The Fortunes still perform and are thrilling audiences as far afield as Australia and Canada with their fantastic harmonies and slick presentation.

Since originally forming as the Four Jays in 1959, the Fourmost have remained continuously active on the UK and European 60s music scene. Their roots are steeped in the eclectic 1960s Mersey Beat boom as part of the Brian Epstein stable along with The Beatles, Billy J Kramer, Gerry and The Pacemakers and others. The band has evolved from enjoying 1960s chart hits such as Hello Little Girl (no.9) and A Little Loving (no.6) and well known songs such as Baby I Need Your Lovin, Here There and Everywhere and a cover of George Formby’s Auntie Maggie’s Remedy.
