Following The South West School of Dance’s award-winning production of ‘Cats’, the school is proud to bring another first to the Strode Theatre stage, ‘Barnum’.

The musical follows the dreams of P.T. Barnum in his bid to become America’s biggest showman. Assembling acts such as the oldest woman alive Joice Heth, the tiny Tom Thumb and the Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind we follow him as he lights up America with the colour, warmth and excitement of his imagination. After realising that it was his very practical wife who made his dreams come true he finally teams up with J. A. Bailey to create Barnum & Bailey’s Circus - the Greatest Show on Earth.

Along with iconic songs such as Come Follow The Band, Join The Circus and The Colours of My Life this show promises to be a visual feast of dance, acrobatics and circus tricks. Sure to be a half term treat for all the family.

By arrangement with MusicScope and Stage Musicals Ltd of New York
